Hardtail hooliganism on the BTR Ranger
Hardtail hucking
Everybody loves a video of a hardtail ripping. Something about it reminds us of simpler times and sorer arms and legs.
Nothing feels quite as good as finishing a ride and feeling like you’ve gone 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. Or having to run your rear tyre at 40psi as you’ve used all your tubes already…
Either way, this new video from BTR reminds us of the fun that can be had ripping trails on a rigid rear end. Weighing in as a bespoke hardtail, it looks long and slack and ready to rock.
Whilst we don’t know whether it is the fastest hardtail in the world but we’re willing to reckon Emyr Davies is the fastest at riding it. With its raw feel the video has Emyr smashing hips, blowing rear tyres and carving corners.
Plus, with winter now well upon us there has never been a better time to get yourself a hardtail as a winter wrecker. Here’s all you need to know about winter hardtails.
It’s a great way to keep you riding and build up skills that’ll let you smash next summer, plus you never have to worry about how much muck gets on those rear bushings and bearing because they just don’t exist.
The Ranger is available to buy now in 26 inch, 650b and 29inch versions. It is optimised for a 120mm fork and will cost £1,000 for the frame only.
