Watch the biggest crashes in the history of the Red Bull Rampage
Utah wipeouts
There have been nine Red Bull Rampage events since a bunch of intrepid freeriders first decided to host a freeride competitoin in the Utah desert in 2001. The aim of the event was always to push the boundaries of mountain biking, but when you get so close to the edge, the Red Rock of the Zion National Park has a habit of biting back.
We think this compilation of Red Bull Rampage crashes shows just how brutal the event can be but also can’t help but get excited for the tenth edition that takes place on 15 – 17 October this year.

42 athletes have been invited including three Brits: Brendan Fairclough, who finished eight last year, and Bernard Kerr and Sam Reynolds, who are making their debuts. We’d like to see Bernard whipping out some of his trademark stoppies on the cliffs on Virgin! The three Brits will have to make it through a qualification round if they are to compete in the main event though.
The list is packed with the world’s top freeriders including defending champion Andreu Lacondeguy, two time winner Kyle Strait and backflip prodigy Cam Zink.
We’ll have more on the Rampage, including start times and where to watch it, as the event draws near but it’s safe to say the event will be as mind blowing and surprising as ever.
