Richie Rude quickly consigned his Round 5 troubles to the dustbin and got back to winning ways in Whistler. Okay so he had a bit of wobble on Stage 2 (puncture) but at the end of the day, Rude ruled.
In the women’s racing it was that other R that continued to dominate – Cecile Ravanel. Ravanel finished the day pretty much a whole minute up on her nearest rival.
On a side note, it was great to see genuine MTB legend Anne Caroline Chausson returning to racing following her recent cancer battles.
The men’s U21 continues to be the dogfight category. Adrien Dailly once again pipped Sebastien Claquin to the top spot. Well, we say pipped, Dailly put some serious time into Calquin on Stages 1 and 2 and the race was all but over before the start of Stage 3.
