In the latest in the ever-excellent Raw 100 series of videos, Mike Hopkins explores and plays on some amazing Canadian trails.
In case you don’t know, the Raw 100 series of videos features no music, it’s just the glorious sound of bikes on dirt and in nature.
Not only does this video feature pleasingly real world sounds of riding and nature, it even features such rare sights in videos as a rider wearing a backpack and someone fixing a puncture.
It also features dung, flies and squirrels. Bonus!
There’s no killer stunt or jawdropping move in this video. Simply some nice riding from a skilled rider set against an awesome backdrop. It’s almost like a collection of paintings strung together with a mountain biker passing through them.
Best bit? That pink moonlit shot at 1min 32secs is pretty spesh isn’t it?
Raw 100: “In this Raw 100 video, Scott Secco delivers a video featuring Mike Hopkins that will make you want to grab your enduro bike and hit the trails.
“Raw 100 is a video series designed to highlight the talent and creativity of filmmakers. It’s said that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and this series celebrates that idea. The rules for each video are simple: 100 seconds in length, no slow motion footage, and no music. By having to work within these limitations, filmmakers have to get creative and think outside the box.”
