Fox launches new Metah all-mountain helmet
Is the fixed peak a good idea?
The trail helmet market is pretty saturated at the moment but it’s actually been ten years since Fox waded in with its popular offering, the Flux. It decided it was time to make some improvements and muscle its way back in with the competition and this is what it came up with – the Fox Metah

The Fox Metah (who though that spelling was a good idea?) launches today and Fox claims the helmet has deeper coverage, better venting and is lighter than its predecessor, all of which ticks our boxes.
The helmet also has a fixed peak that Fox claims keeps the aesthetics of the helmet clean and aligns the vents to improve the ventilation.
Dave Ahumada, global product manager for Fox, said: “The landscape of the trail riding market has changed and today’s all-mountain and Enduro focused riders expect a higher level of performance from their helmets. With the new technologies built into the Metah, we have taken a huge step in performance to suit these needs while also incorporating the iconic Fox MX influenced aesthetic.”
The helmet is available in six colourways and costs £110.00
