Versatile and its handled countless wash cycles and still looks good
Sombrio Highline shorts review
We’ve all got a favourite piece of kit that we can’t stop wearing, and, for me, it’s Sombrio’s Highline short.
>>> The best mountain bike shorts
With a well-cut shape, it sits perfectly, just below the knee, and uses a lightweight, stretchy fabric that’s unrestrictive and breathes really well.
The inside-fastening Velcro waistband system never lets the short wriggle down during a long day’s riding, and the crotch area doesn’t have any annoying seams or fabric to bunch up under the saddle.
Laser-cut ventilation holes at the back of the waistband and inner thighs ensure good airflow, and in wetter conditions there’s a DWR coating to handle splashes and mud.
The material dries very quickly if soaked too.
While £80 is on the steep side for such a thin, lightweight, riding short, the Highline is versatile and, to help justify the asking price, it’s handled countless wash cycles and still looks good.
