Bibshorts with with built-in storage
Altura Tech 5 BibShort review
Altura’s Tech 5 BibShort includes built-in storage. It features five integrated pockets — two on the hips, two on the lower thighs and one at the small of the back.

The thigh and hip pockets are large enough to take a multi-tool, or phone, and there are additional loops on the front of the thigh pockets for carrying energy gels. The pocket on the back is for a water bottle, which is held horizontally rather than vertically. Getting it in and out is much easier as a result.
The Tech 5 BibShort is made from an Altura Dry wicking fabric and the upper bib functions like a base layer, drawing moisture away from the skin. A zip on the chest allows a bit of temperature management, but I’d like it to go all the way down, to help when it’s time to answer the call of nature.
I’d also like to see Altura ditch the silicone grippers on the legs (they’re unnecessary on a liner short) and add a bit of girth in this area — not everyone has skinny legs.

So far, this is the best storage short I’ve tested, but it’s pricy compared to its rivals.
