Two thirds of the palm on the Trek is one-piece leather, with the outside edge being cut from an open mesh. Silicon-ribbed pads span the gap and also add grip on fingertips, and across the palm and thumb. Rubber knuckle-guards seem overkill on a predominantly trail-style glove, but some folk want that.
There are plenty of seams on the glove, many of which can be felt from inside, and to top it off the fit was a little off the mark. A huge, wide palm mates with short fingers, even on our large test sample. For folk with hands like shovels, these may answer a prayer, but for anyone with more normal hands, you’ll experience far too much palm-bunching with the Team Comps.
