Specialized Top Cap Chain tool review
There is a big empty space inside the steerer tube of your fork, making it a prime spot for tool storage. Various options have been tried, but Specialized’s chain tool is light, neat and also does double duty as a headset cap.

Specialized Top Cap Chain tool It works in tandem with a multi-tool, but if you’ve fitted the Specialized SWAT cage you should have all you need for any chain mechanical. There’s also space underneath the alloy cap for a split link, like SRAM’s Power Link.

For one-off, emergency repairs this is really handy because, like the Topeak Ninja C, it’s hidden away until you need it. However, as a chain tool it’s pretty basic and fiddly to use — if you’re prone to breaking chains we’d recommend a more robust tool.
