Shimano’s winter boot has long been a favourite, and it has been further improved for ’06. Gore-Tex lining improves waterproofing while aiding breatheability, and the polyurethane coated leather stands up well to knocks. The sole has also been improved, with an aggressive tread based on the race shoe, sans toe studs. Around the ankle is a new single fitted neoprene cuff.
The Gore-Tex lining and neoprene do a great job of keeping the elements out and the tootsies toasty, and with the new sole thick gloop no longer defeats this boot. One of the best just got better.
