If you’re looking for the full factory look, Scott has recently launched a carbon-fibre DH helmet and a less expensive composite freeride helmet to go with its new big-hitting Gambler bikes. Scott admits that it didn’t have enough time to come up with its own helmet design so, for this year, both Spectre helmets use the same mould as the THE lids, including the two-piece EPS inner. Finish quality and styling are first rate, padding is good and the helmet is very comfortable, but we’re not sold on the two-piece EPS construction.
