While the Gore Alaska NFT socks serve a very similar function to the Specialized WindTex sock they are nothing like as good a fit, even though Gore provides dedicated right and left socks. In fact, the Alaska socks don’t fit as well as the less elastic Gore-Tex sock from the same stable. We could feel the seams bunching up and, at best, the fit can only be described as baggy. Good construction and quality fabrics, but Gore has missed the mark on the fit of the Alaska.
