Like all Park tools the PMP-4 Half Pint is a solidly made, great quality piece of kit that does its job well. The soft-touch rubber coated flip-out T-handle makes pumping a breeze, while a large metal lock lever does the business even with cold hands.

If you have to dismantle the head to change valve type, you might as well make it a chunky process to allow cold and wet hands to perform the task — and that is what Park has done. The nut holding the gubbins in place is huge, and they have even put spanner flats on there in case it jams — although at 25mm you’re unlikely to have the appropriate tool with you on the trail.

All in all, a great mid-sized mini-pump, with nice action and quality, plus well thought-out construction.
