The FC3300i comes with two head units: a five and 10-watt unit, which attach to a frame-mounted Ni-Mh battery pack. Coiled cables keep things neat with rubber grommets providing a degree of weatherproofing, and the thin plastic casing means that each unit glows on the bar, increasing side-on visibility. With only 15 watts between them, the beam is limited at speed; but as an occasional-use, off-road lightset the FF3300i is fine. For commuting, even on unlit roads, the Knightlites are great. Run-times are shorter than we would like, and the trickle charger is an overnight only affair, taking over 14 hours. It is a shame the oversize clamps have to be purchased separately, but the weight is good and with a price tag of less than 55 nicker, they are still great value.
