This is an early sample of Fox’s new Flux AM helmet, so the finishing is a little rough and ready. A double hardbody construction is standard, plus Fox has bottom-wrapped the helmet to resist wear and tear. The clip-on fin is for looks and nothing more. The helmet gets a three-point strap system, with the front strap anchors embedded in the shell. The retention device is dual adjustable, but it’s only anchored in two places, so it tends to ride up in use. We also had to tighten the retention device more than normal to keep the helmet stable, but we reckon a lot depends on the shape of your head.
