The first thing worth noting about the Expert is the sizing. Our size 43 came up a full size small. A protective Cordura-like fabric encases both the heel and toebox-to-front-strap areas, but the narrowing toebox is likely to pressure all but the smallest of feet.
A low heel cup reduces support: a shame since the two — thankfully, very long — straps are wide enough to offer even pressure and a snug hold. Great for all-weather riding, although they can take a while to dry out.
If the fit works for you, the great price and low weight would make for good fast riders’ footwear.
