It all gets a bit too much for the crazy Swiss team manager
It may be the final World Cup of the 2015 season, but Claudio has definitely saved his best performance until last. He follows Connor Fearon down the Italian course and it gets wild!
Val di Sole is a famously formidable track and this year, it’s wet. The result is a 4 minute slip-and-slide over roots, rocks and rollers with riders struggling to hold on. This doesn’t perturb Claudio though as he attacks it with his usual wacky style – he does seem a bit less coherent than normal though.
In fact, the track is so gnarly he even starts swearing in Italian. As far as we can gather he says, “Porca miseria che gatto Claudio che fai” which roughly works out as “Damn you do that cat Claudio”… Maybe not. If anyone knows the actual translation, do let us know!
Claudio even treats us to another bout of karaoke as he crosses the line, this time we get Rocking in the Free World by Neil Young. It’s safe to say he enjoyed this run.

You can watch race live on Saturday from 1:30 to see if Aaron Gwin can wrap up the men’s overall championship and who will take the momentum into the World Championships in Andorra.
