“I’ve known the team at Spada for over 30 years now, as my dad was sponsored by them in his racing days,” explains Beaumont. “After a chat one day, we realised the potential for the brand in mountain biking, and the partnership was an obvious one.”

It’s not just the pros who have fed into the development of the new range. Spada prides itself on incorporating the experience and feedback of regular riders into its design and development process. 

The result? A range of products that meet, and exceed, the demands of mountain bikers. 

“It’s some of the lightest, least restrictive riding kit out there. It’s durable and fade resistant,” says Beaumont. “I couldn’t be more proud of it!”

Tommy C Hype agrees. “I’m proper hyped to be representing them! I’ve been riding the kit for months now and the quality is spot on. Keep an eye out for the waterproof jackets – they’re insane! It’s nice to see a homegrown brand competing with the big dogs.”

The Spada MTB range

Spada Enduro Jacket

Enduro by name, enduro-ready by nature, and designed to perform to the highest level, this is a lightweight shell jacket with built-in stretch that provides protection from the elements. 

Waterproof and breathable, it’s ideal for wet conditions year-round. For those summer showers, breathable fabric and generous underarm vent zips allow plenty of airflow. For heavy rain days, taped seams and a storm flap are designed to prevent water getting in. Certified to a waterproof rating of 10,000mm and breathability rating of 10,000g/m2/24hrs, it outperforms the best jackets on the market. 

Other features include a helmet-compatible hood that can be rolled and stowed, jersey cuff inserts with thumb holes, and silicone detailing on the shoulders to help keep rucksack straps in place.
