Complete with custom boombox and bonsai tree
It was a tough off season for Josh Bryceland, he must have been itching to get back on the bike after busting his ankle of the final jump of the World Championships in Hafjell, Norway last year.
He spent his time on his canal boat in Poynton, just south of Manchester, crutches and all. In this episode of Rubber Side Down, which follows Maxxis athletes throughout the World Cup season, we see how he’s pimped out his boat to create the Rat Cave.
It comes complete with a framed World Cup leader’s jersey, a custom boombox from winning his first World Cup in Leogang and the toilet, which Josh has to empty into a nearby cesspit.
The episode also shows us Josh ripping up some of his local, loamy trails, before heading to a secret compound in the Peak District to have a play on pit bikes with fellow World Cup racer, Sam Dale.
Josh Bryceland is the current World Cup champion, and despite his horrific injury at the end of last year, he has started to pick up his form for 2015. He managed to grab a top ten result at the last round in Leogang.
This is the first episode of season two of Rubber Side Down, expect more to follow as the racing season continues throughout the summer.
