Over the course of 2011 we’ve had the opportunity to work with some great up-and-coming photographers. First up is our principle photographer, Roo Fowler. He’s been consistantly delivering great shots for our bike tests, features and grouptests for a few years now in addition to out-riding us pretty much everywhere (despite carrying the equivalent of a small child on his back). Check out his website here.
We first met Laurence Crossman-Emms at a Teva shoes launch at Llandegla and were immediately impressed at the results he turned out from a dreary grey day in North Wales. Since then we’ve run a couple of his shots as Big Pictures and used him to shoot the Dafydd Davis feature in the January issue.
Jacob Gibbins is another young talent that has been cropping up in numerous bike publications this year. Jacob shot our Oli Beckingsale feature in the July issue and has also had his shots used as Big Pictures.
Finally we have Duncan Philpott, a Sheffield-based photographer whose stunning shots of the Peak District have graced our Big Picture section in two recent issues.
It’s great to see all this new photography talent emerging with new perspectives and creative competition to keep our sport looking fresh and exciting.
