Go behind the scenes with the Specialized team and see how Aaron Gwin and Troy Brosnan prepare for the hardest race of the World Cup season
With the world cup season all wrapped up Specialized racing takes us inside the race day of Aaron Gwin and Troy Brosnan at Val di Sole. The team mates were happy with their weekends, with Gwin taking the overall world cup title and the win on the day whilst Troy Brosnan took 3rd place despite a crash and a broken finger.
Aaron Gwin went into Val di Sole off the back of his win at Windham and what may be one of the most extraordinary race runs mountain biking has ever seen. Coming to Val di Sole it was clear that Gwin had the title wrapped up; especially when closest competitor Greg Minnaar crashed on his race run.
Having spent the off season living in Whistler, Troy Brosnan admits that he has a lot of confidence inside him right now and has been enjoying the lack of pressure since Windham which has allowed him to ride to his full potential.
With the world cup overall finished, the Specialized team will turn their attention to worlds in Vallnord, Andorra. Aaron Gwin looks like the most confident candidate for the win but it does feel like Troy Brosnan’s season might be coming to a head in Andorra.
