Adventure cross isn’t our usual cup of tea at mbr, but our sister title Cycling Weekly has a good one in the offing, near Kirroughtree in the Scottish borders.
Called Adventure X, the mass-start ride will take place in wild, exposed forest and moorland trails of the Galloway Gallop, right next to one of this magazine’s favourite 7Stanes trail centres. Dalbeattie and Mabie are close by too.
The ride is predominantly on fireroad but it’s a good opportunity to co-opt any roadies you have to off-road riding, then spirit them off to the trail centres too.
