The new Kielder trail is part of a £900,000 investment in off-roading facilities in the Northumberland beauty-spot this year, and 300 pro and amateur riders alike turned up for the inaugural weekend.
The trail itself climbs to 1,600 feet crosses boggy ground in places on a 1km woodwork section, the longest of its kind anywhere in the UK.
