Evans Cycles Ride It! series starts this weekend.
The Evans Cycles Ride It! series kicks of this weekend, 29th & 30th March, at Evans Cycles head office at Gatwick. Saturday 29th is the off road day and there are 3 pre marked routes designed for all standards of riders from family groups to experienced cyclists.
Based form our Head office, the ride heads east and then north towards the North Downs. The longer route crosses the M25 and up onto the Downs themselves, giving a great view south back along the route. Riding will be mainly on bridleways and roads. Due to the relative flatness of the area (you don’t get airports in mountains!!) we have increased the length of ride to make it longer than usual.
Experienced mountain bikers will be able to tackle the medium routes (28 miles) and long route (35 miles). The long route involves a section of self-navigated trails testing riders map reading and navigation techniques as well as their fitness. For beginners and families there’s also a shorter 16 mile route.
The Evans Cycles Ride It! events are a series of organised road and off-road rides that are designed to take the hassle out of your weekend riding. The rides are non-competitive with an emphasis on riding with other riders. “It’s all about getting people to use their bikes more often” says Event Manager Dean Stacey. “What we do is take the hassle out of getting out on your bike – we research the trails, mark out the courses, plot it on a map and provide support throughout the day. All you need to do is turn up and ride!”
Every ride includes:
Pre-marked routes for all abilities
FREE Memory Map OS map for each rider
FREE SIS energy food & drink
FREE kids entry

Adult entry is £12.50 per rider on the day.
