After a wet start at the Gatwick event, the Evans Cycles Ride It! series hits the south coast this weekend near Brighton at Plumpton on Saturday 12th April. The off-road rides use a mixture of Plumpton College’s private trails and open, fast paced bridleways over the mighty South Downs, this promises to be a fantastic day out for all abilities. There are some long, hard packed climbs offering beautiful views over the rolling countryside and the sea, with the reward of awesome long, fast descents.

There will be 3 routes available this weekend: Short – 12 miles, Medium – 25 miles and Long – 35 miles.

Registration opens 8:00am riders may start anytime between 8:30am and 10:30am with parking available on site.

Entry is £12.50 on the day

Pinnacle demo bikes available to test at Ride It!

Pinnacle bikes will be on site with a selection of full suspension mountain bikes available to test on the rides on Saturday. There will be a choice of Tharpu Peak 2 or Tharpu Peak 3 full suspension models featuring 100mm travel which will be perfect for the South Downs. There is also the chance for women to test the female specific Aura Infinity full suspension bike which also features 100mm travel. Gore Bike Wear try before you buy service at Ride It!

Gore Bike Wear will be at the event with their try before you buy service – offering riders their choice of hundreds of Windstopper and GoreTex garments to use for the ride. This service is free of charge to all Ride It! riders – just present your rider card, use any of the garments for the ride and drop them back at the end of the ride and the Gore team will take care of the washing!
