Kicking off from the bustling little market town of Skipton, once you’ve passed over the main A65 this lengthy Killer soon splits in the Yorkshire Dales proper.
Climbing around the Sharp Haw before a blast down the side of the ‘rough’ one, you’re soon spat out in Flasby. The extended loop then tracks north, skirting Eshton and Winterburn before crossing Hetton Common on classic Yorkshire moorland to the edge of Gordale Scar. Looping around to Bordley, the route then begins its leg south-east with the only blip being a blast over Threshfield Moor.
Passing through Cracoe, the imposing climb between Rylstone Crags and the remains of Morton Tower opens up to long sections of varied trail crossing Brown Bank, eventually dropping to Bolton Abbey.
Regaining height gradually, the final grunt after passing the A65 again takes the ride to a Roman road west along Skipton Moor, concluding with a steep woodland playground back in to Skipton.
