Exposure lights all feature the same neat Cable Free Design (CFD), and the Race Turbo tested here sits slap bang in the middle of the range. Using a colimated lens (focusing both beams on the same point), the Twin 5watt luxeon super LED’s offer a very good beam pattern with a good spot for penetration and flood lighting the peripheries – three output levels allow battery life management too. The anodised and machined body keeps everything neat and secure, and the Race Turbo seems to have finally banished the reliability issues we have seen on earlier Exposure products.
The Exposure is susceptible to loosening after a crash – check the clamp’s allen bolt after any offs – but in normal use, the Race Turbo offers great illumination. A neat solution and featherweight with it, we just feel it’s a tad to expensive to gain full marks.
