Two black grade Downhill tracks on the Lleyn Peninsula open for uplift service next month in a partnership between Antur Stiniog and Nant Gwrtheyrn.
Announced via their new Facebook page, Antur Stiniog Nant Gwrtheyrn Uplift Service have this to say…
“Right Ladies and gentlemen, the Team behind the World famous Antur Stiniog site are proud to announce a partnership with Nant Gwrtheyrn to provide uplifts on their 2 black graded DH tracks on the stunning Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales.”
The first uplift weekend will be on the 19th and 20th of November. You can’t book just yet, sorry. But booking details will follow shortly apparently. Your best bet is to Like thier Facebook page and to keep checking the Antur Stiniog site.
Antur Stiniog has been running their popular uplift service at Blaenau Ffestiniog for the past few years and have a great reputation for rapid, reliable service that packs in a load of runs for maximum gravity-time.
The uplift at the new Nant Gwrtheyrn will use the same 17 seat minibuses and trailers used at Antur and the uplift is claimed to be “just as quick a turnaround as on the Ffestiniog site so plenty of quality riding time is guaranteed.”
The two tracks available for riding are the “original National track” that was used for a round of the BDS in 2011 which is joined by an easier track that is “so much fun”.
There will also be a cafe, some accommodation and… a beach.
