The EX enduro
THE EX presented by DMRBIKES is a three day mountain bike enduro in the north east corner of Exmoor. On 14-16th September 2018 a maximum of 80 riders will pitch up and get to race on some excellent South West trails.
An event with punishing climbs, beautiful singletrack and stunning descents on some of the least ridden trails in the country. There will be fine organic food and drink, evening entertainment and plenty outside of the race tape too.
Explore over 100km of Exmoor’s finest trails with an estimated 20+ timed stages.
Entries – make sure you pre-register!
Entry to THE EX will open on Tuesday the 3rd April 2018 and is limited to just 80 riders – this is provided entries are left – please read on.
Riders are heartily encouraged to pre-register for the event by following this link. Only riders on the pre-registration list will receive an email with further instructions to the email address they provided on Friday the 30th March 2018. Pre-registered riders will be able to enter from 9 am (UK time) on Sunday the 1st April 2018. Entries will be available on a first come, first served basis. Last year the event sold out in just 3 mins – but if entries should be still available after the 48hour pre-registration window has closed, then the entry links will go live to everybody else. It will be an advantage for you to have your details registered with them prior to the 1st April as it makes the entry process much easier and quicker.
“The descents were unreal … It’s 3 days of loads of miles, loads of downhill, riding with your friends, awesome food. It’s been brilliant, I’ll be back for sure.” -Jono Jones, 2017 overall winner.
“Epic concept. A very mate’s-race feel to it which is exceptionally good fun. The food is amazing, the people are amazing, brilliant event.” – Charlie Williams, Welsh Gravity Enduro Series.
Also, 2018 Bristol Bikefest fuelled by the Bristol Beer Factory
THE EX are working on another ‘iconic’ event which will take place this summer. The Bristol Bikefest (including the Steve Worland ride singletrack hard & drink a swig of cider per lap memorial cup 2018) is coming back with an updated course, new venue and a new partner – say hello to the 2018 Bristol Bikefest powered (or rather fuelled) by the Bristol Beer Factory.
The event will take place on Saturday the 30th June. The website is currently under construction. Once everything is up and running, they will let everybody know – but if you used to ride and love the Bikefest – then make sure you SAVE THE DATE and be part of the reincarnation of the Fest.
