Keep an eye on your racks
Thieves have been targeting bike on car racks at Cannock Chase as two bikes were stolen on Saturday.
They stole a Marin Mount Vision and an Orange Alpine between 2:30 and 3:15pm on January 30. In both cases the bikes were taken from racks on top of cars.
The Marin Mount Vision (Incident number 515 of January 30) had a white frame, black forks and a black and blue saddle. The Orange Alpine (Incident number 529 of January 30) was black with Orange stickers.

It seem like obvious advice but just because a trail centre car park seems a friendly and sociable place it can also be a goldmine for opportunistic thieves, even in the middle of a busy weekend. We advise you keep an eye on your bike at all times and if you cannot do this ensure it is properly secured with at least two locks.
Cannock Chase is a trail centre based to the north of Birmingham. It comprises of two red loops and the Stile Cop downhill centre, making it very popular for all sorts of mountain bikers.
