You’ve heard of sheepdog trials, well now it’s time for you to experience trail dog trials.

This is Ed, a six-year-old Australian Shepherd and the dog of Aurelien Fontenoy who is a four-time trials World Champion and star of videos such as Farmyard Trials.

For once Fontenoy lets his trials skills take a back seat in this video as Ed takes centre stage jumping, running and doing tricks to steal the show. Whereas most trail dogs just run alongside their owners, Ed seems keen to get involved with the action and even helps out with some of the stunts. We are genuinely impressed with how tame and skilled Ed is, he puts most trail dogs to shame.
