The Camelbak has some interesting innovation but lacks a back stiffener
Camelbak Volt 13 LR review
The result is a pack where the weight is low down and held right against your body, meaning there is very little movement once it is in place.

The Volt felt superbly stable as soon as the waist belt was clicked shut, and that was borne out when descending technical ground, as it just did not move.
With only a few compartments in the front pocket and the rest in the main space, pack organisation could be better, and we also had to pull the main contents out to get at the mesh pockets inside.
The large wing pockets on the waist belt were good, however, and the overall weight is light. We did have to pack carefully, though, as there isn’t a back stiffener to prevent things poking through or misshaping the load and creating pressure points.
