Cannondale D3 grips, £19.99

The medium thickness and dual-density construction of the Cannondale D3 lockable grips provides a comfortable feel, and the level of grip afforded by the blocked and knurled pattern is excellent, with or without gloves. A dual lock on the collars keeps them solidly in place, and after a good few months of hard riding, there’s so far been little sign of wear. The machined end-caps provide good protection and look neat too. So, although they’re nothing particularly special, they do the job for a reasonable price, and that’s good enough for me. Roo Fowler
