Ogio Hydration Pack £39.99

The first thing we noticed on the Ogio was the white piping on the pack — it will soon be grey. The second thing was the external mesh pocket on the back, nicely placed for mud to clag up, rendering the pocket useless for anything you want to keep clean, which is, er, everything.
The material is stiff Cordura type 420/600D nylon, not very pliable, and we didn’t feel the pockets were very useful sizes. The reservoir is made by Hydrapak and as such has a locking, high flow valve and easy clean roll-top opening. It also has a neoprene sleeve on the tube, keeping it from freezing in winter and clogging with algae in sunlight.
That doesn’t make up for the shortcomings though, and at the best part of 40 quid, it’s not expensive, but certainly not cheap.
