While team entry spots for 24 Hours of Adrenalin sold out in just two and a half days of going on sale, five tickets are to be put up for auction with starting bids of $1,000. IMBA expects to raise at least $5,000 for trail advocacy, education and building.

The partnership between Twenty4 Sports, organizers of the 24 Hours of Adrenalin, and IMBA Canada in 2008 is designed to raise funds and recruit members for IMBA’s world leader in mountain bike trail advocacy and education.

This year’s course will be unique with input from elite and recreational racers, IMBA Canada representatives and local stakeholders, Twenty4 Sports says. “We really intend to make this the most rider-directed and friendly course ever.” said Twenty4 Sports Director Stuart Dorland. “We’ll have three 2007 World Champions, Tinker Juarez, Rebecca Rusch and Matt Chaney, our single-speed winner, coming to provide rider input on the weekend. We’ll also be getting guidance from IMBA Canada that will be vital in making sure that our 2008 course sets a new benchmark for adhering to best trail practices.”

IMBA Canada will advise on trail maintenance and best practices on the pre-event Canmore Trail Days, and will also be staffing one race check point and running an information and membership tent in the Expo area throughout the weekend.
