When THE launched the One it was the closest thing you could get to a Troy Lee D2. However, pulling back the removable liner reveals a two-piece EPS inner — not what you expect on a £250 lid. And it’s exactly the same set-up on the Scott Spectre.
THE. offers more colour options than Scott but you are basically paying £50 extra for the branding. All in the THE One is comfortable and we can’t fault the performance, but we marked it down because it’s identical to the less expensive Scott Spectre and we’ve seen the two-piece EPD inner come apart.
