Inside the carbon quill on this post is an aluminium core; it isn’t a true carbon post, but it’s good enough for us. The reason for the Aluminium Core Construction (ACC) is to resist crush loads from the seat clamp, but also if the post does fail it bends rather than snaps.
Bonded to the top is a forged head with a rotating aluminium barrel, onto which are bolted the saddle clamps. This offers 360 degrees of angle adjustment and is ideal for bikes with extreme seat tube angles like Mavericks.
It is covered by a Carbon-Fibre Crash Replacement Programme, meaning a replacement is £40 even if you break it.
