Gore’s Vulcano is the most expensive ‘thin’ glove on test, but when slipped on, it’s easy to see why. It’s exceptionally warm, despite the thin soft shell fabric. As you’d expect from the name, Windstopper fabric is completely windproof and surprisingly water resistant, keeping out an hour’s downpour. High cuffs are thin enough to fit inside a jersey sleeve, simply adding cosiness. Unless you ride in multi-hour rainstorms, this is a thin glove for all seasons.
