Viper has managed to combine two unlikely bedfellows: a flexible front triangle with a stiff rear end. The bike twists beneath you as you turn corners and every lump and bump is transferred to the rider from the inflexible rear triangle: it’s a very tiring bike to control. Also, the five-piece seatstay assembly is very wide and some riders caught their feet on it.
The shape of the Viper isn’t too bad but the parts are some of the cheapest — particularly the one-piece chainset. Expensive to replace, not good for something that WILL wear out with normal use: it has no place on this bike.
